Welcome to Culture à la carte, an online map of English-language shows, venues and artists in Quebec. Launched on March 31, 2011, www.culturealacarte is a powerful tool for artists to connect to new audiences in new ways, and vice versa!

If you’re familiar with Google Maps, you already know how to use this map -- double click to zoom, click and drag to pan, zoom all the way in to enter Street View...

To delve deeper, open the menu panel to the bottom left of your screen. These controls allow you to turn map points on and off based on your needs and interests.

Please note: While official ELAN content is available in both English and French, members are free to submit in the language(s) of their choice. ELAN does not translate member submissions.

How about some examples:

• If you’re interested in seeing a play tonight:
  Under WHAT click Theatre. Under WHEN click Today. Click on the points that catch your eye to learn more about the show. Most listings will include websites and contact information.
• If you’re visiting the Townships next weekend and want to know what events are happening in the area:
  Under WHEN click Next Week. Double-click on the map to zoom in on the Townships region.
• If you want to impress your date with your knowledge of art galleries near the restaurant:
  Under WHERE click Galleries. Under WHAT click Visual Arts. Keep zooming in until you enter Street View to double check that the place looks classy.
